In the riffles and runs of the Antiesen, fly anglers experience top-class fishing for salmonids and cyprinids.

The waters of the Antiesen feature a mix of chub, barbel, nase, grayling, brown trout, and rainbow trout. Therefore, the Antiesen offers a diverse and challenging fishing area in Upper Austria. Immerse yourself in the beauty and richness of this river and enjoy an unforgettable angling experience.

Fly Fishing with Heart and Passion: The "Friends of the House Forstinger"

Friends of the House

The "Friends of the House Forstinger," or F.d.H.F for short, are much more than just an ordinary fishing group. For 40 years, they have come together in Schärding, forming a closely-knit community that spends an unforgettable week at Hotel Forstinger every year.

Founded in 1982 by Willi Forstinger, Willi Pick, and close friends, this circle has steadily grown - not only in terms of membership but also geographically. Participants come from all over the world: Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Singapore, Brazil, Canada, and the USA.

The Forstinger family takes pride in this international circle of friends, which includes well-known fly fishermen. You might recognize some of them in the pictures. Willi Forstinger and Willi Pick, affectionately referred to as the "Presidents," remain the driving forces. The next generation, Margret Forstinger and her husband Frank Eder, carry on the tradition and are equally passionate fly fishermen.
